Islamorada’s Famous Bars

Islamorada’s Famous Bars

Islamorada is famous for it’s many bars. While visiting Islamorada be sure to spend some time sampling a bunch of them, each with their own unique history. Islamorada is famous for it’s Tiki bars on both the ocean and bayside of the island. It’s also the original home of Kokomo’s beach bar, immortalized by the Beach Boys song “Kokomo”. Slushy, frozen concoctions like the rumrunner and painkiller where created by local bartenders on the island years ago, and continue to be really popular. Head over to the Postcard Inn, formerly called Holiday Isle and kick back in your own tiki in the sky at Rumrunners Bar overlooking the famous Islamorada sand bar. Take in a sunset at the Lorilei and mingle with the local backcountry captains and guides in their favorite watering hole, or visit Morada Bay, a spot that hosts a monthly epic Full Moon Party.
