Looking for keys nightlife? Start in Islamorada where there are plenty of hot-spots in close proximity to one another.
It’s the perfect night out after a day on the water, for an epic bachelor party or some spring break revelry.
The night begins with happy hour at the famous Lorilei. Look for the legendary mermaid sign at mile marker 82. Unwind, order a drink and watch the local captains and characters drift up to the docks.
Next, head just down the road to mile marker 81 to the Morada Bay Beach resort and Bass Pro Shop. Visit Bass Pro Shops do a little shopping, witness the enormous fish tank and Ernest Hemmingway’s fully restored historic boat the Pilarand the legendary Zane Grey lounge with it’s impressive mahogany bar, cigar humidor, upholstered walls and historic photos.
Amble outdoors to the sandy beach at Morada Bay Beach Resort. Grab a seat on one of the Adirondack chairs, put your feet in the sand and listen to a steel drum band or local musician. Order the famous Planter’s Punch in a mason jar illuminated with a glow stick.
Next, make your way to Rumrunners, at Holiday Isle at mile marker 84. It’s an unbelievable multi-tiered Tiki-In-The-Sky bar. Order drinks at the bar, then make your way up the stairs to your own private tiki hut overlooking the Atlantic. The views are amazing and the ambience unforgettable. Order the frozen rumrunner.
Cap off the night with a quick stroll down the beach to the world famous Tiki Bar, located on the same property. It’s open-aired and rowdy with a large dance floor and nightly entertainment. Dance the rest of the night away, but be sure to take a break and tour charter boat row, just outside the bar.
