Key West’s most famous bar, Sloppy Joe’s, boasts visitors from all over the world. It was the favorite watering hole of Ernest Hemmingway. The bar is known for it’s rustic décor and live musical (adult) entertainment that begins at noon everyday and continues until 2am.

The Bull and Whistle Bar

Captain Tony’s Saloon
This is the original location of Sloppy Joe’s Bar from 1933-1937. This historical saloon has been loved by Tennessee Williams, Truman Capote, and, of course, Ernest Hemingway. Capt. Tony was an avid fisherman, rumrunner, casino manager, and the mayor of Key West. It is known for it’s décor. Every surface is covered in dollar bills and women’s bras hang from he rafters. The bar is known as a refuge for eccentrics and renegades.
